OK, so at this point our thoughts at 3am are...
“Are the tags sewn in the right way?” “Is that photo shoot confirmed?” “Did we nail that Instagram post?” “What if LITERALLY no one likes our clothes??!!”
Seriously. It’s madness and exhilaration, and it’s the stuff we thrive on. It’s our first time doing anything like this, and it’s been a huuuuuuge learning curve. As the saying goes, “leap and the net will appear” – well we’re out there and thank God we have some badass humans around us on the ground with nets!
Admittedly, early on we made the mistake that a lot of people make, which is assuming that things would move along according to our timeline. Ha! No way. Shit does happen, suppliers change, designs get tweaked, technical glitches show up and fabric goes missing… true story.
But, we’ve stayed true to our vision of creating a small, ethical and sustainable clothing line that we love, we’ve done it here on the west coast of Canada, and we’ve come to accept that doing it this way takes sweet time.
Our line is now in the trusted hands of our Vancouver maker. Our small line is being hand sewn by people close by, who we’ve met and talked with, and that alone is f’n awesome.
So if any of this sounds at all familiar, grab that glass and join us in some Friday cheer, chips… whatever you need to get into your fall weekend mood.
